Adam McNeil

Adam McNeil is an outstanding youth speaker who uses storytelling and humor to reach tweens, teens, college students and young adults of all ages. Additionally, his unique points of view and real world relevance help lead them toward God’s plan for their lives.

Experience in youth ministry has taught him how to be present for students and leaders both one-on-one as well as onstage.

Early Life and Education

Adam McNeil has always been fascinated with the culture and discipline of history, its range of perspectives, and openness to new areas and ideas. At one point he likened studying history with astrophysicists’ concepts of “dark matter.”

McNeill was drawn to world history during his undergraduate studies after reading Peter Crosby’s work about European colonial voyages in the tropics and their effects. This novel perspective inspired McNeill and led him down an exciting new path of study: environmental history.

Early in his teaching career at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, he began writing and teaching world history – though with such an intense teaching load there wasn’t much time for research.

Professional Career

Adam McNeil specializes in admiralty law, including vessel charter negotiations and shipping finance matters, while also handling commercial litigation, government regulatory compliance matters and insurance defense cases.

Adam has successfully negotiated many high-profile maritime finance transactions while at McGlinchey, including the world’s first fully collateralized ship mortgage, numerous purchase and construction agreements, master service contracts and even one of the world’s largest marine financing transactions.

Adam blends the science of investing with the art of building genuine relationships as a financial advisor. He takes time to learn about each client’s goals and helps them pursue them with integrity – whether saving for retirement or building an estate for future generations – he provides them with tools necessary to fulfill their dreams financially.

Achievement and Honors

He has amassed an unparalleled career at Medaille College, tallying 1,501 points in three seasons. Currently he holds the record for most field goal attempts attempted and tied for first in three-point field goal attempts; additionally he ranks top 10 in various other categories.

McNeil has received numerous honors for his contributions both at university and in the community, such as membership in Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and being nominated for NAIA Character Award nomination.

Criminal investigation major and Woodhouse Award recipient. For his achievements in the classroom, he earned both distinction in his major course as well as this coveted prize – medallion and cash award!

Personal Life

Adam McNeil is an enthusiastic sports fan. In addition to watching sports, he loves spending time with family and friends.

Brette Ottavino and he have been in a relationship since 2014. After meeting on a blind date, it quickly became apparent that there was something special between them.

They envisioned their wedding as something out of a fairy tale, carefully planning every aspect themselves. Their special day took place in an idyllic forest setting where a trusted planner helped bring their ideas to life.

Adam shares Adam’s passion for art and has amassed an extensive collection of over 300 paintings by Marc Chagall as well as rare books and newspapers.
