The AK Market in Lewiston, Maine, was the site of a deadly accident on Monday morning. A man was allegedly hit by a band saw and his arm was severed at the elbow. The man was declared dead on the spot. The man’s arm was severed while he was working at the store. Police were called to investigate the shop after the incident. They followed a blood trail that ran from Maple Street back to it.

Police in Lewiston, Maine responded to a call regarding a man who had broken his arm while working at the market. Public works crews were called to the aid of the injured man who was working in a meat processing facility. Public works employees discovered the injured man in a pool of blood outside of the store, and applied a tourniquet until emergency services arrived. Public works workers immediately called 911 to apply a tourniquet until help arrived.

A Department of Public Works employee saw the man with a severed arm. The men were sanding the roads in Lewiston, Maine, when Ryan Barry was driving by and saw the man. He believes that the man’s arm was severed at an AK Market. In the aftermath, he was rushed to Central Maine Medical Center, where he underwent surgery.
