Amy Schneider Downton Abbey Podcast
The Downton Abbey Podcast – Amy Schneider and Kelly Anneken
Amy Schneider has made her mark on the “Jeopardy!” circuit. In just 38 days, she has earned over $1 million in regular season prize money. She currently sits in fourth place on the list of highest paid female contestants of all time. That’s a pretty impressive streak, to say the least.
On the show, she and her co-host, Kelly Anneken, talk about everything from Sherlock Holmes to the history of the Peaky Blinders. They also talk about the various other TV shows that are out there. While this may be a podcast for the diehard Downton Abbey fans, it’s also a fun way to learn more about this show without committing to an episode.
The two of them talk about the various “big” events from the show, including the wedding of Thomas and Edith, and the infamous ‘horse party.’ They also talk about the tangled web of romance and class warfare. They even touch on a few lesser known episodes, including the erotic pen pal and the Grand Trunk Railway debacle. At the end, they tell us what happened and offer up some suggestions for how to avoid awkward silences in the future.
Not only is Amy Schneider one of the game’s best players, she’s also a jack of all trades. Her resume includes roles as an engineering manager, transgender activist, and a voice for the trans community. Along with her winning streak, she’s also one of the only four players to make seven figures in regular season prize money.
The show may be a tad on the short side, but the two of them aren’t about to give up on their quest to be the best of the best. During their second week, they’ve already landed a guest, Red Scott, for a recap of the Netflix Original “The Crown.” Their first segment takes a look at what the episode has to offer and what it’s not. Tom is a snobby fan of the show, but the show does have its ups and downs.
There aren’t many other “Downton Abbey” podcasts out there, but Kelly and Amy are doing a pretty decent job of it. From their reviews of the various episodes to their more off-beat conversations, they’ve got a great time with the show and are a pleasure to listen to. The show has come a long way, and the best part about it is that they’re still going. The show has been around since Series 1, and it seems like there’s a new episode to be had every few weeks. Plus, with the movie coming out this year, there’s a lot to look forward to. With all that said, it’s probably time to move on to the next big thing.
