Bridgit Mendler is an American actress and singer. She began her career in the animated Indian film The Legend of Buddha. She was a star in Alice Upside Down and The Clique as well as Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Squeakquel, and Labor Pains. While on tour with the band The Fray, she won the Crystal Globe for best supporting actress in 2007.
Mendler’s first major role was in an Indian animated film called The Legend of Buddha, where she portrayed the title character, Lucy. She was also a guest star on the TV show General Hospital, where she played Lulu Spencer’s dream child. Mendler’s character argued against Spencer on Lulu’s birthday. The scene was cut short and Mendler was shocked to learn that her dream character was a nightmare. Mendler also starred as Thorn in Bone: The Great Cow Race.
Mendler has a large fan base, in addition to her acting and music. She has appeared in many movies, including Lemonade Mouth. While many people might not think of Mendler as a singer, her recent move to academia has won her a wide array of accolades. In her current role as a director’s fellow at the MIT Media Lab, Mendler is focused on developing technologies for inclusive governance and citizen engagement.
Mendler is active in philanthropic activities as well as her career. Mendler has been an ambassador for First Book, a charity that provides books to children in dire need. She also teamed up with Target Corporation to raise funds to support reform schools. Despite her young age, Mendler began her acting career in the late ’90s. Her first major role was on the Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie”. After four seasons, she landed a starring role in “Wizards of Waverly Place” where she portrayed the teen who documents the lives of her suburban family. Although she is still young, she has already received a host of awards and nominations.
Mendler has appeared in many films. In addition to her acclaimed role in Good Luck Charlie, she starred in Nashville and the 2015 comedy Merry Happy Whatever. Mendler has played many roles on television and the stage, in addition to her film debut. These include Muppets Most Wanted and Father of the Year. Despite her fame, she never took it for granted. Instead, Mendler has used her success as a way to help others.
Following her breakout performance in the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth, Mendler released a single called “Somebody” from the soundtrack. The song reached the US Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 89. Mendler has since confirmed that she does not plan to release a sequel to the film. This film starred her as a teenage girl who was smitten by her boyfriend’s handsome guy.
