Canyon Theatre Guild

Canyon Theatre Guild (CTG), a community organization, was founded in 1993. It is dedicated to providing quality live theatre for the community. During their first year, CTG held their first show at Hart High School, and since then, they have moved from venue to venue, performing in whatever location had an audience. They have performed at various venues, including St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Valencia, Placerita Junior High School’s multipurpose room, “The Rafters”, in Newhall, and Canyon Country’s Storefront Theater. Callahan’s Old West, Saugus is their current home. They have performed at many events, including the Mentryville Fall Festival, the July 4th Country Fair, and the Historic Society’s Old Town Days.

The Canyon Theatre Guild is a nonprofit arts organization that serves the Santa Clarita Valley. They produce 10 full-scale productions each season, giving over 140 community members the opportunity to experience live theatre. The Guild’s members include 500 local artists and many community members. The CTG also gives back to the community, serving local youth through programs such as a Theatre for Youth season, CTG Kids workshops for children aged six to 17, and STARS workshops for teens. Additionally, they provide free theater tickets to 94 community nonprofits.
