Chandon Adams, Lindsey Adams’ spouse from Forsyth County School Board District 5 District 5, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft by taking. Chandon could face up to eight years of prison.

Early Life and Education

Adams refused to attend school when he was six, prompting his grandfather to remove his hat, take him by the hand, and lead him silently towards the schoolhouse.

His resultant work, The History of the United States of America (1801-1817), received widespread acclaim for its diplomatic detail and literary merit; however, its opening chapters describing American society in 1800 have often been criticized for failing to capture its vibrancy and sophistication.

Adams was the mastermind behind the Caribbean federation concept that gained widespread traction at Montego Bay’s 1947 conference. His ideas led to a powerful central government controlling trade and finance in addition to providing other services – which later resulted in a strong central Caribbean federation being created under his guidance.

Professional Career

He has earned three Pro Bowl selections since entering the league in 2017 and ranks first among safeties for quarterback pressures. Furthermore, he is among one of the team’s most active pass rushers.

He founded The Drawing Board, an in-house visual design firm at Def Jam Recording that oversees the creative style of both their record label as well as other record labels like Bad Boy, MCA and Universal. On Wednesday afternoon the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office arrested Adams for taking money for renovation project work but then failing to complete it as promised.

Adams is widely recognized for his work by prestigious publications and competitions, such as Communication Arts, Graphis, How, Print & Step. Additionally, he was elected President of AIGA: Association of Independent Graphic Designers.

Adams is one of only a select few designers honored with two consecutive Lifetime Achievement awards, having amassed an extensive social media following and making contributions to several charities including Rape Crisis Center backed by Amy Adams and Doctors Without Borders supported by John Krasinski and Emily Blunt actors.

He spends much of his free time collecting wine and traveling. Lindsey Adams is a first-term member of Forsyth County School Board; they live together with two children and own a vineyard in Yarra Valley.

Personal Life

Adams has become one of America’s foremost art and design voices since first moving from street art to the creative suites at Def Jam Recording in the late 80s, to corporate advertising campaigns for Levi’s, Burton Snowboards and Moet & Chandon in corporate ads in corporate campaigns in corporate America in his late 30s. At Boston University’s CEY ADAMS: DepARTure exhibition showcased some early street art as well as album covers designed for Def Jam Records featuring early street art as well as logo designs designed specifically by Adams for their various brands over his extensive career path.

Adam began his winemaking journey at Scotchman’s Hill on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula before undertaking more extensive wine study and harvesting at Margaret River’s Cape Mentelle vineyard. Since 2008, Adam has returned to Chandon as Operations Winemaker where he leads both still and sparkling production teams.
