Daniel Huntley is a partner at WilliamsMcCarthy LLP’s Transactional Group and practices corporate, real estate and estate and trust law. In his free time he enjoys hunting pheasants, nature conservation efforts, golf and following Georgetown Hoyas basketball.

He also volunteers his services for Indiana Maurer School of Law’s Income Tax Assistance program, aiding low-income residents in filing their taxes.

Early Life and Education

Daniel Huntley was born at Doctors Hospital, Seattle WA. He spent much of his life living in Snohomish Washington – Lyndon, Kirkland and most recently outside Arlington near Jim Creek – where he worked as a carpenter on both new construction and remodeling projects.

Dan has performed in several West End plays including Strindberg’s Miss Julie at the Cafe Theatre in Leicester Square; Peter in Edward Albee’s The Zoo Story and as The Chronicles of Narnia title role during two national UK tours; as well as classical works by Shakespeare, Ayckbourn and Ibsen.

He currently works as the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations at the University of Mary and previously was director of athletics at Marshalltown Community College – during which time he won an national NJCAA hockey championship!

Professional Career

Daniel Huntley is an associate attorney with WilliamsMcCarthy LLP in Rockford, Illinois and specializes in corporate law, real estate law and estate and trust law. His primary area of service includes family-owned small to mid-sized businesses as well as individuals in Rockford’s surrounding communities. Daniel also volunteers his legal expertise through the Rockford Register Star’s IGNITE Young Professional Business Networking Group.

From 2000-2005 he held various roles at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin including being both head men’s and women’s hockey coach, sports information director, associate commissioner of an athletic conference, as well as serving as athletics director at Concordia University Texas where he helped guide its transition into full NCAA Division III status.

He served as the Head Coach for Rainy River Community College Hockey from 1994-1999 and saw their record go 78-40-4 during that time, earning four regional tournament appearances and ultimately taking home an NJCAA National championship championship in 1999.

Achievement and Honors

Daniel compiles shots and Source’s groundbreaking ‘Scout’ section, curates our monthly “Presents” showcase and conducts written interviews with directors focusing primarily on feature films, unsigned directors and music videos. Daniel has served as a judge at numerous advertising and film awards ceremonies such as UK MVAs, Shots Awards and Shiny Awards.

He holds three NJCAA National Hockey Coaching Championships as a coach, has held various capacities with two NCAA Division III schools, and most notably was Director of Athletics at Marshalltown Community College from 2008-12, increasing varsity sports offerings from five to 13 while making all coaching positions full-time.

She graduated as Valedictorian and Salutatorian of Mount Markham High School in 2022. Additionally, she served on National Honor Society during both Sophomore and Junior years, Student Council during Senior year, as well as taking advanced placement chemistry, physics, precalculus, macroeconomics through Herkimer County Community College’s College Now program.

Personal Life

Huntley enjoys hunting pheasants, hunting nature conservation projects and following Georgetown Hoyas on golf. Additionally, he was appointed coach in Minnesota high school hockey program as well as sports information director.

At Marshalltown Community College, he worked closely with all areas of campus life and athletic department to help the school reach its goals. He successfully increased varsity sport participation while procuring what at that time was its largest gift ever given in school history.

He currently holds the role of associate athletic director at University of Mary and oversees business operations and budgeting for Marauders athletics. Prior to this role, he held several different collegiate coaching roles at Rainy River Community College – winning the national NJCAA hockey championship as head hockey coach – as well as serving in other capacities such as assistant commissioner of an athletic conference.
