Daniel Welch is an experienced finance professional specializing in debt financing and capital markets. His portfolio of work includes aircraft asset-backed securities issuances, secured loan transactions and international unsecured term and revolving credit lines as well as derivatives documentation projects.

He currently focuses on expanding Northern Nevada Chiropractic with holistic medicines and patient education, while being an avid student of Civil War era history and contributing editor to Emerging Civil War magazine.

Early Life and Education

Dan Welch hails from Aldershot in England and has dedicated much of his life to racing. In 2011, he made his BTCC debut driving for WSR team.

His most impressive victory came at Oulton Park in 2012 when he earned a podium finish. After finishing sixth in race one and holding off Matt Neal to finish fourth, he won HiQ Champagne Moment award as voted for by fans.

Niccole Halpin was a mother-of-two living with her two sons Max and Drew in Safety Harbor, Florida. On January 8, 2004, she was brutally assaulted and left for dead in her own home; police soon identified clues pointing towards ex-partner Daniel Welch as being responsible. Welch ultimately plead guilty and was sentenced to 25 years of incarceration.

Daniel brings extensive biotechnology industry experience to public companies in this space. He currently serves as Chairman for Structure Therapeutics and Nuvation Bio Inc, while previously sitting on Avexis Inc and InterMune boards of directors.

He possesses extensive finance experience across a wide variety of asset classes, from aircraft asset-backed securities issuances and international unsecured term loans to revolving credit lines, and derivatives documentation. He has held positions with both J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns & Co in his renowned investment banking career.

He currently works at Northern Nevada Chiropractic and specializes in holistic medicine to treat patients. He is certified in Active Release Therapy, the Graston Technique for muscle scraping and Dry Needling to offer his services. Danny Welch was an internationally recognized expert on cancer metastasis – which involves tumor cells migrating from their original sites into other parts of the body – having worked at both UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Scientific Advisory Council.

He has served on numerous public company boards, such as Structure Therapeutics and Nuvation Bio Inc, where he held chairman positions respectively; Hyperion Therapeutics was purchased by Horizon Pharma plc when Hyperion was still active as well. Finally, Sofinnova Ventures provided him an executive partnership role.

Daniel Welch was an exceptionally generous family man. As the proud parent of two children and coach for several youth sports teams in his community, he put others before himself and always put others ahead of himself. Although diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease during later years, he managed to create an extraordinary life for himself and achieve great success despite it.

He was also an esteemed photographer, dedicated to capturing the beauty of life around him and specializing in portrait/lifestyle images of musicians and entrepreneurs.

Daniel Welch is an established businessperson and currently serves as Chairman of Nuvation Bio Operating Company Inc. Additionally, he sits on the boards of directors at Hyperion Pharmaceuticals, Levo Therapeutics, Intercept Pharmaceuticals and AveXis as well as being former CEO for Triangle Pharmaceuticals and InterMune.
