David Crossett, 62, of Idaho City Was Arrested on Tuesday and Charged With Six Felonies Including Sexual Misconduct

David Crossett, 62 years old from Idaho City, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with six felonies for sexual misconduct with a minor.

He was an accomplished attorney, co-owner of Cornerstone Law Firm with Joel A. Ready. His passion for service and helping others was infectious; this devotion also extended to Fleetwood Bible Church where he served as Chairman of the Elder Board.

Early Life and Education

David Crossett was born on December 9 1917 in Somerville, Massachusetts to Charles R. and Bernice H. (Rice) Crossett.

His father enjoyed a successful career as an investment banker, selling stocks and bonds. Additionally, he served as pastor of Bethel Advent Church in Manchester, New Hampshire.

He had two brothers and sisters. Additionally, he was blessed with six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

On January 29th, Rev. Bryan Diffee will officiate a memorial service at Jones Funeral Home in Crossett. Those interested can pay their respects by making donations to either Crossett First United Methodist Church or Crossett Education Alliance.

Professional Career

David Crossett has an extensive background in both legal and business operations. He has held senior vice president roles at Georgia Pacific and Little Rock Housing Authority, as well as director of litigation duties. Furthermore, David has acquired valuable skills in sales and marketing.

Georgia Pacific is the biggest name in town, but paper manufacturing is what truly sets Crossett apart. Home to the world’s largest Kraft mill, their new facilities are set to open their doors in 2019 and could potentially become among the state’s top employers by the time they complete their first quarter of production. With a population of nearly 23,000 residents and situated deep within the Ozarks, Crossett boasts a vibrant community.

Achievements and Honors

David Crossett is a co-owner and partner at Cornerstone Law Firm in East Syracuse, NY. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Theology from Moody Bible Institute before receiving his Juris Doctorate from Regent University School of Law, graduating 3rd overall.

Before entering the legal profession, David worked as a counselor at an addiction treatment facility and taught English at an inner-city high school in Chicago. Furthermore, he served as editor of Regent Law Review.

He was a loving husband and father to four children, as well as an active participant in his local church – Fleetwood Bible Church in Berks County, PA. In his free time he enjoyed cutting trees and woodworking; additionally he joined F3 Fitness Group and enjoyed hunting quail.

Personal Life

David Crossett was a loving husband and father, as well as an enthusiastic Christian who was heavily involved in ministry at Fleetwood Bible Church where he served as Chairman of the Elder Board.

He was an accomplished attorney and co-owner of Cornerstone Law Firm with Joel A. Ready, Esquire.

He was a member of F3 Fitness Group and an ardent Christian. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Regent University School of Law, finishing 3rd in his class. Additionally, he belonged to Word of Life Bible Institute in New York State and had a passion for helping others; serving in various capacities within his community. Survived by his wife Doolrecy Brown and several relatives, he passed away on June 30th 2018.
