Early Life and Education
Don Daniels was an extraordinary people-person with unmatched charisma who never failed to leave others feeling encouraged, motivated, or special. He loved his family unconditionally and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born and raised in Mobile Alabama where he attended Arab High School before graduating in 1973.
Later he attended Temple Baptist College and studied to be a minister of the gospel. While in Cincinnati he served several churches including Phillip CME Church, St Paul AME Church, Delany Chapel AME Church and New True Vine Baptist Church.
Daniels Printed Sportswear provided him with an opportunity to work closely with Robert. Additionally, James Chunn and many of their associates operated a tax preparation business together.
Professional Career
Donald Daniels served in various human resources roles with the Army for 21 years before retiring as a Sergeant First Class. Alongside Wynetta Daniels, they raised three children; Donald enjoyed sports and later coached several youth basketball teams before becoming a financial adviser at JP Morgan Securities in Pleasant Hill, CA.
Daniels was known for his lively fiddle playing and controversial political opinions; yet was also an enthusiastic philanthropist. His nonprofit Journey Home Project provided veterans and their families with support.
He took great joy in providing hope, relief and mobility to patients who had tried everything else without success. Additionally, he was proud of being part of the Masonic brotherhood and devoted family man; close with all his nieces, nephews and cousins.

As President of Johns Hopkins, he spearheaded a universitywide vision for innovation. This included efforts to unleash students’ entrepreneurial instincts, develop research discoveries into novel technologies, and foster enterprises that stay and expand within Baltimore. Furthermore, he advanced reforms for PhD education by creating reforms such as an innovation fund or collecting and disseminating data on program performance.
Mr. Hopkins fostered civic engagement by introducing Democracy Day into first-year orientation and strengthening support for Hopkins Votes, the university’s student voter outreach initiative. Additionally, his widely read book What Universities Owe Democracy asserts that higher education must teach its students about democratic societies’ fundamental values at a time when these are under attack.
Personal Life
Donald Daniels served on numerous national and state organizations’ boards of directors. Additionally, he contributed academic journals and wrote books – such as about young investigators in life-science research; anchor institutions’ role in third world development; law and legal studies’ contribution to public policy debates – on many relevant subjects.
Daniels has published two memoirs, Full Disclosure and Her Kind of Crazy. Both explore her early years, such as being intimated by someone who physically abused her, as well as her time in adult film industry where she became an award-winning writer, director, and actress.
Full Disclosure is her book which describes her alleged relationship with Donald Trump and alleges that he offered her money to remain silent about their interactions.
