Located on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA, the Hollywood Palladium is the oldest operating event venue in Los Angeles. During its heyday it was home to the best Latin music acts in town. The venue was also home to the famous Tito Puente orchestra for two decades (1957-77) and it hosted Martin Luther King’s famous Nobel peace prize ceremony in 1965. Aside from music, the venue also hosted a slew of philanthropic galas, ahem. It is also one of the few remaining historic Hollywood structures.

The Hollywood Palladium was built on the site of the old Famous Players Lasky Studio lot, a long-gone recording studio that plied its trade in the early 20th century. The building was not only home to the aforementioned Tito Puente Orchestra, but also to the city’s first “flight terminal” and airport. The most impressive of the many buildings is the main entrance, which features a glistening chandelier.
