The Husband of a Fox 2 News Anchor Dies

His wife, Rodney Thomas, was devastated by the loss of her husband, a Fox 2 news anchor. Rodney Thomas had been a reporter and anchor at WJBK-TV in Detroit for more than a decade. He had recently split from Jasmine McCool, his wife. They split in the past year. They had two children.

The cause of the tragedy remains unknown. The couple were married for just under two years. He was a well-known news anchor and had been with the news agency since its inception nine year ago. His death has prompted many to send condolences to the couple and pay tribute to their love.

Fox 2’s management team is unchanged despite Murri’s passing. Murri, who arrived at Fox in 2001, was instrumental in the transition to a Detroit-based version of CNN. In the process, the station broadcast 11 and a half hours of live local news every weekday and weekend. Although Murri was a strong-willed, incorruptible leader, he managed a major shift in the philosophy behind broadcasting.

Pemmaraju’s wife, Uma, died of cancer on Aug. 8. Pemmaraju was the first anchor for Fox News in 1996. Pemmaraju later moved to Dallas, where she became a local news anchor. She later returned to Fox News in 2003. Her husband, his mother, as well as her two brothers, Rama (and Sankar) are still with her.

The “Problem Solvers”, an investigative unit of the news station, is well-known. Last year, the program investigated 12,000 viewer complaints. But the mystery isn’t easily solved. Jeff Edwards, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s board chair, spoke at Fox Studios 2.
