Former police detective, he served on the FBI-NYPD joint terrorist task force after 9/11 and was praised by Police Commissioner Ray Kelly for his dedication. George fought valiantly against ALS; his smile, quirkiness, brilliance, incorrigibility, and stubborn righteousness will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
