George Farrell was born on July 22, 1860 in Washington County, New York to Patrick and Margaret Farrell – both natives of Ireland.
In 1872 they moved to Jefferson county, Nebraska with the Plymouth Company and were among the earliest settlers in this region.
Early Life and Education
George Farrell was born on January 23, 1857 in Illinois and raised in a small town before attending school there.
He then relocated to Kansas, where he acquired the skills of farming and raising cattle. After renting land for three years, he lived there comfortably.
In 1885, he relocated to Iowa and rented a farm in Plymouth county.
After several years living there, he purchased a large tract of land in Union township and built his house there. Until his retirement from farming, when he relocated to Le Mars, this was where he resided until retirement.
Farrell achieved great success as a bobsledder, yet did not break into acting until 2000. His first feature film was Tigerland, in which he co-starred with other young actors.
