George Suhoney, 45, of Houtzdale, is Now Facing Multiple Charges After He and His Four Dogs Injured a Pennsylvania State Trooper

George Suhoney of Houtzdale is facing multiple charges after his four dogs caused serious injuries to a Pennsylvania state trooper on Tuesday night. While responding to a theft report at his Woodward Township home, Suhoney became argumentative and aggressive towards the officer.

Suhoney threw a metal carpenter’s square at the trooper, punched him in the face and attempted to take away his gun from his duty belt. Additionally, Suhoney’s dogs attacked him as they struggled between them.

Early Life and Education

George Suhoney, born July 24th 1988 in Philipsburg, PA to Joseph and Lisa M. (Kline) Suhoney, is survived by his parents Joseph and Lisa M.(Kline) Suhoney; younger brothers Ryan Michael Kline Jr. and Devyn Joseph Suhoney; maternal grandmother Carol Shaw Kline of Philipsburg; current employer H & R Excavating in State College PA and 2006 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School graduate as well. Additionally he belongs to Central Pennsylvania Tax Doctors Softball Team and holds veteran membership with AMVETS Post 159 at Philipsburg.

Professional Career

State trooper responding to theft report at Woodward Township house encountered 45-year-old George Suhoney getting argumentative and becoming aggressive. He is reported to have thrown a metal carpenter’s square at him, punched him in the face, and attempted to take away his gun from his duty belt. As they struggled, Suhoney’s four large dogs got involved as well and began attacking the trooper – leaving him seriously injured. Houtzdale/Ramey EMS took him away to Penn Highlands Clearfield where he faces felony counts of aggravated assault and disarming an officer as well as misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest.

Achievements and Honors

George Suhoney is a man of many talents. He has achieved much in his life, such as earning an associate degree in business, earning his bachelor’s degree and attending graduate school. Additionally, George has received numerous accolades for his career achievements.

He was a member of the Central Pennsylvania Tax Doctors softball team and an active participant in AMVETS Post 159. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survived by his fiancee Keila M. Trump, future step-son Kaiden W. Trump, sister Alysha Marie Suhoney from Chester Hill PA; George Suhoney graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School in 2006 with many accomplishments; his family and friends will miss him dearly during this difficult time. Personal Life

George Suhoney resides in a single-family home with his wife; they have no children.

On Wednesday morning, he was charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and disarming a police officer, as well as misdemeanor counts of simple assault and resisting arrest. He was then sent to Clearfield County Prison for processing.

On Tuesday night, a state trooper responded to Ida Street in Woodward Township for the reported theft of property. During the investigation, Suhoney became argumentative and aggressive, throwing a large metal carpenter square at him that hit him in the chest. This forced the trooper onto the floor of his residence where he and Suhoney began fighting; when Suhoney attempted to take away his weapon from its holster, four dogs attacked him leaving him with serious injuries according to court documents.
