Professional careers encompass a range of occupations, positions or roles that require formal education and training. Examples include doctors, lawyers, accountants, scientists and authors – to name just a few! A person’s choice in career depends on their ambition in life as well as how they plan to apply their skills and experiences.
For example, someone may opt not to pursue a professional career as a doctor because they feel unable to balance family responsibilities and the demands of obtaining an academic degree. On the other hand, someone may choose to pursue professional work after attaining their academic degree as part of meeting financial goals and supporting their family. These decisions should be carefully considered.
