George Udo is a junior defensive back for BYU and has been an integral part of their defense for two years. As part of an experienced group, Udo provides valuable depth on the sideline.
He is a versatile athlete and has played multiple positions for the Cougars throughout his career. His presence at defensive backfield for the team will be greatly missed.

Professional Career
George Udo is one of the more difficult BYU football players to pinpoint with accuracy, but he certainly makes up for it with his impressive athleticism. At 6-1 and 205 pounds, Udo was an all-around player last season who put up some impressive stats in Provo. His most noteworthy contribution came through an effective blitz scheme that helped propel BYU’s defense to fourth nationally in scoring defense.
Udo was not only one of Provo’s friendliest and most supportive teammates, but he was also an incredibly well-rounded individual with an eye for bargains and the desire to save money. Part of his budget goes toward working out at the gym as well as occasional dates with his partner. Furthermore, he’s perfected multitasking by juggling social life with demanding professional demands.

George Udo has achieved remarkable successes in scientific research, education and business. A highly respected geologist, he helped shape UWI’s Petroleum Geoscience Program into one of the most vibrant student chapters in the region. Additionally, he organized numerous industry technical sessions to increase industry awareness and linkage at the university level.
George is an accomplished actor and presenter, having starred as Seb in Disney Channel’s mystery adventure series Evermoor and Billy Cooper on TNT’s Will. His talents have earned him many awards such as the AAPG House of Delegates award for best video. Furthermore, George has dedicated his time to supporting science and Earth sciences with an uncanny ability to communicate complex ideas to a general audience in an engaging yet informative way.

George Udo is an impressive young man who has worked hard to earn the respect of those around him at his high school. With such an impressive future at BYU, George is sure to make a major impact this coming season.
He’s an impressive athlete that played multiple positions last year. He began his career at Nickel but has also demonstrated he can play at Cinco, Strong Safety and Flash Linebacker positions as well. This athletic player will only serve to strengthen BYU’s defense; making this an excellent pickup that the defensive coaches will love. With his speed and versatility he should develop into an impressive player over the coming years; we look forward to seeing him in 2021!
