Henry Durost was born in Smithville, located in northern New Brunswick. He was one of ten siblings; his parents were Fred and Minnie Durost.

He was an accomplished pianist who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. Additionally, he studied under esteemed pianists such as Robert Shaw and Michael Lamkin.

Dr. Durost was killed by a homeless drifter known only as Carnovale for unknown motives – possibly homophobia or robbery. Police don’t yet know what led up to his murder but believe that it was specifically targeted; Carnovale tried to cover his tracks with cleaning products but his DNA was later discovered under Durost’s fingernails and in other areas in Durost’s apartment.

Professional Career

Dr. Honigman has received many prestigious accolades and awards for his work. These include the International Psychogeriatric Association Distinguished Service Award and U of Toronto Department of Psychiatry Henry Durost Award for Excellence in Creative Professional Activity. Furthermore, he has received research grants and fellowships.

He is involved in various organizations and boards outside of his field of psychiatry; serving as chair of Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada board of directors as well as Off Centre Music.

He takes great pleasure in reading books and watching movies in his free time, as well as playing golf and visiting new places.

He has made invaluable contributions to nursing home psychiatry, telepsychiatry and guideline development. He is widely published and edited three textbooks including “Practical Psychiatry in the Long-Term Care Home”. Personal Life

Henry Durost was not only renowned as a psychiatrist but was also known for being an attentive family man, raising two children of his own as well as many nieces and nephews. Several awards were bestowed upon Henry Durost for his achievements including: 2005 Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry Award for Outstanding Contributions to Geriatric Psychiatry as well as 2006 Ivan Silver Award for Excellence in Continuing Mental Health Education from University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry Department.

Later, he relocated to Washington DC where he established and expanded several businesses, such as Executone of MD Inc and Wright & Co. Additionally, he held many church affiliations such as Presbyterian church membership and Masons membership – both were influential influences in his life. He leaves behind his wife and two children.

Net Worth

At trial, 38-year-old drug addict Joseph Carnovale claimed he beat and stabbed Durost for sexual purposes, leaving traces of blood around the kitchen sink and under his fingernails. However, the court found him guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced him to life without possibility of parole for 25 years.

Police believe Durost was subjected to a sexually motivated attack due to his homosexuality. They conducted extensive background research into him as well as investigating any possible visits he made to gay strip clubs.
