Nyck de Vries’ impressive debut in F1 for Williams has him well placed to fill Alpine’s 2023 race seat; however, Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi prefers someone who will score points straightaway.
Jack Doohan may be among those driving Virtuosi this season – as part of its Driver Academy, and as reserve driver at Renault-owned outfit Virtuosi.

Private test days scheduled in Monza and Qatar as well as multiple outings during FP1 are set up throughout 2023 to further his experience on contemporary machinery.
Professional Career
Jack kept himself busy over the Miami Grand Prix weekend with team meetings and driver debriefs between media appearances in preparation for his role as Alpine’s 2023 Reserve Driver. Beginning his day by connecting with family back in Australia before meeting up with BWT Alpine F1 Team for in-season testing of FIA Formula 2, Jack spent most of his time practicing his karting moves while learning all aspects of racing F1.
Doohan could quickly move up into Alpine racing if he were to win F2, although spending another season in F2 might prove more prudent and allow for him to make an earlier transition to higher-grade machinery – this may mean forgoing any possible F1 drive next season but would ultimately prove wiser decision.
Achievement and Honors
Jack was an individual from what Tom Brokaw dubbed “The Greatest Generation,” having served on Liberty Ships during World War II before moving to West Seattle where he built homes and apartments. His passion for skiing led to involvement with Crystal Mountain Ski Area where he was an original stockholder as well as volunteer fundraiser.

In 2021, he joined MP Motorsport for the final rounds of the FIA Formula 2 Championship where he became vice-champion. Following this success, Alpine elevated him to their Formula 1 reserve driver pool as they celebrated him becoming Formula 2 champion and winning its championship.

Jack Doohan made an impressive showing in 2021 FIA Formula 2 Championship with MP Motorsport and made his Grand Prix weekend debut as the team’s Reserve Driver, finishing second overall and making his Grand Prix weekend debut as Reserve Driver for that Grand Prix weekend. Net Worth
A person’s net worth provides an accurate gauge of financial security. Calculated by subtracting liabilities from assets, this calculation offers more accurate estimation than simply counting income; job loss or reduced working hours could impact a person’s ability to provide income.
Otmar Szafnauer, who recently joined Alpine F1 team as team principal, is reported to have amassed an estimated net worth of over $1 Million. If he eventually makes it into F1, his wealth should increase accordingly.
Jack Doohan is currently competing in Formula 2 series with Virtuosi Racing and hopes to secure an F1 reserve driver role by 2022.
