Ride in the Whirlwind is a mid-60s independent Western. It features a wing-ding plot, wooden rodeos and a few laughs. It also has a few things in common with Waiting for Godot.

Ride in the Whirlwind was a collaboration between Monte Hellman and Jack Nicholson. Nicholson wrote the film’s script and financed its production. He also co-produced it with Hellman.
