He has won several awards including a Tony Award and an Emmy nomination for his role in the television series The West Wing. He has also performed in several theatre productions. He has also been involved in a number of independent films, including SWEETLAND. He has also been married to actress Angela Gracia for over 25 years. He has two children, a daughter and a son. He is the grandson of Robert Gamoke, who was a successful inventor and a member of the American Academy of Science.

On October 30th, 2022, he passed away at the age of 73 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his daughter Sarah, and her husband Laura and their son Morgan and Taylor, as well as his brother George and his wife June.
