Early Life and Education
Early on in life, children learn about themselves and the world around them. They are taught how to speak, walk, feed themselves and recognize letters, shapes, colors and how to count and spell. During these formative years of development, a child becomes immersed in language-learning experiences that shape who they become as an individual.
Early experiences a child has impact their brain development and will shape their future learning capacity, behaviors, as well as physical and mental health. Understanding how children’s early lives shape their eventual outcomes is essential for improving public policy for both kids and adults alike – helping ensure that everyone benefits from our collective wisdom.
Parents and educators have an invaluable role in a child’s early education. They can create stimulating environments and stimulating interactions that foster positive development.
