Early Life and Education
Early years are critical for a child’s brain development. Studies have demonstrated that providing children with a secure foundation from birth to age 8 can result in positive outcomes later on, including education, employment prospects, as well as overall health and well-being.
Educators have a vital role to play in children’s early cognitive development by supporting their psychosocial needs at each stage. This includes providing encouragement for social, emotional, and physical growth as well as creating an encouraging learning atmosphere.
The program begins with a series of courses that address the developmental needs of young children and how best to help them reach their full potential. Students also examine current research on early brain development and its ramifications on teaching styles. With this comprehensive understanding, graduates will have an enhanced appreciation for their own teaching techniques.
