Kari Daniels is an esteemed beauty expert with an affinity for hair. She holds advanced education in hair coloring, highlighting and cutting techniques – among other specializations.
She currently serves as Tesco’s commercial director for packaged foods, reporting to Jason Tarry, chief executive officer of Tesco UK and Ireland. Additionally, she will join its UK leadership team.
Early Life and Education
Kari Daniels was born in Brookfield, Connecticut to a payroll officer and car salesman. She attended Wooster School where she studied acting before moving to New York City where she signed with Ford’s Model Talent division as well as appearing in several commercials before co-hosting MTV’s quiz show Remote Control.
She was also cast in Fox’s science fiction and fantasy series Sliders as Captain Maggie Alison Beckett for five seasons – amassing an enormous fan base during that time.
Daniels is currently CEO UK&I for SSP and boasts an outstanding record in driving performance within retail and branded FMCG businesses. Prior to her role at SSP she held various leadership roles including four years as CEO of Tesco Ireland as well as being appointed as Non-Executive Director at Topps Tiles.
Professional Career
Kari is currently Commercial Director for packaged products at Tesco UK and has experience in FMCG brand marketing on both the supplier side with Superdrug, Wella and SC Johnson Wax as well as retailer side with Burton Group. Additionally she serves on the Board of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home of London as a Trustee.
Kari is passionate about her craft and dedicates herself to continuously learning and improving as an artist. With an expanding fan base, packed tour schedule and captivating music – Kari is not one to be missed!
Kari has opened for artists such as Little Big Town, Diamond Rio and Kelsea Ballerini. She has performed at numerous venues across Michigan as well as being a frequent guest host on The Morning Mix country radio program.
Achievement and Honors
Kari Daniels has achieved much in her career. She currently holds the title of Associate Professor in African & African American studies at Emory University where she offers courses such as history of art and religion, material culture studies and museum studies, race religion representation as well as sacred arts of Africa as well as ritual healing traditions from across the Black Atlantic region. Her research centers around these subjects.
She has an enthusiasm for helping young people and is deeply committed to her community, serving on both Emmanuel Baptist Church’s Board and serving on Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation Board as well as volunteering as a mentor for college students. Additionally, she contributes to PeekYou – a free people-oriented search engine which unearths data which would otherwise remain hidden through traditional searches – by uncovering information otherwise overlooked through traditional searches.

Matchett has made her mark as an actress on several acclaimed television shows including Blue Murder and Heartland, appearing in films, plays and co-writing and directing an episode of CBC’s Invasion; known for her alluring looks and body; plus performing voiceovers for television and radio programs.
