Kiran Oliver and Camunda Contributor Experience SIG Members

Kiran Oliver is a Technical Community Builder for Camunda. They serve on both the Contributor Experience SIG and Triage SIG committees and enjoy discussing all things open source – such as diversity in tech or removing barriers to learning programming.

Kiran is a playable character in Heroes storyline. They represent you during battles, with modest stats and an extremely versatile weapon called Breidablik that allows them to buff allies while inflicting penalties upon enemies.

Early Life and Education

Kiran Oliver hails from Chicago, but attended Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise, Arizona where he averaged 21 points per game during his prep career and played an integral part of a team which reached the state semifinals.

Oliver followed in the footsteps of many professional chefs after graduating culinary school by traveling to France to learn classical cooking methods before moving onto work at London’s acclaimed River Cafe restaurant.

Jamie Oliver has taken steps beyond being a chef to promote youth-related initiatives. The Jamie’s Fifteen restaurant acts both as a commercial enterprise and foundation to train disadvantaged young people in culinary arts, while other youth initiatives include campaigns for healthier school lunch options as well as the TV show Jamie’s Kitchen.

Professional Career

Kiran Oliver is a Technical Community Builder for Camunda. She’s actively involved with Kubernetes’ Contributor Experience SIG as well as diversity work within tech. In 2016, Kiran graduated from Southern New Hampshire University. In her free time she enjoys discussing lesbian pirates, queer lady paladins, and dragons – anything to keep the conversation lively!

Since joining Capsticks as Healthcare Partner from their prior position as Healthcare Advisor at Capsticks, she specializes in healthcare litigation advising NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts/bodies on complex, high profile cases involving death or serious injury requiring expert legal advice.

Oliver will join a Morgan State team that finished 15-16 last season and reached the MEAC tournament, but may face stiff competition for playing time as new head coach Greg Heiar has added transfer players Dajuan Gordon, Xavier Pinson and Deshawndre Washington to Morgan’s 2023-24 roster.

Achievement and Honors

Kiran Oliver is an accomplished organizational development consultant, possessing expertise in leadership and talent management, organizational change management and employee engagement. He has managed complex OD and change initiatives globally and at scale; additionally he has held advisory and leadership roles at organizations including Procter & Gamble, Accenture and the UK Civil Service.

Oliver attended Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise, Arizona and played men’s basketball there, earning all-region recognition and being recognized on the 2021-2022 All-Mountain West team.

Kiran, a 2016 Southern New Hampshire University alum, loves all things open source and is actively involved with Kubernetes and the Contributor Experience SIG. In their free time they daydream of lesbian pirates and queer lady paladins!

Kiran Oliver is an organizational psychologist and certified coaching psychology professional. With a multi-cultural and global outlook, he possesses extensive experience leading and managing complex leadership, talent management, organization development (OD) and change initiatives across multiple sectors – such as technology, luxury goods retailing and professional services.

Kiran is an Acquired Brain Injury survivor on a mission to ensure all survivors get the support they need upon leaving hospital. She speaks publicly about her experiences to raise awareness and encourage others who may be struggling after brain injuries to reach out for support. Kiran is also involved with Kubernetes through its Contributor Experience SIG and Triage SIG groups; and recently graduated from Southern New Hampshire University where she enjoyed discussing open source technologies and diversity issues within tech.

As co-founder and director of Equinox, a diversified offshore fiduciary services company in Jersey’s highly regulated environment he has gained extensive experience working as a trusted adviser for high net-worth clients in complex family structures as well as helping introduce and develop new business ventures.

Kiran Navgire, commonly known by her cricket name Kiran Navgire, currently represents Team India and Nagaland women’s cricket teams. As an allrounder she bats right-handed and bowls medium arm fast bowling. Kiran was purchased by UP Warriors at auction for Rs 30 lakh during WPL 2023 season.
