Lauren Oliver is the New York Times best-selling author of Before I Fall and its Delirium Trilogy; Panic; and Liesl & Po. She hails from a family of literature professors; she spent much of her childhood playing imaginative games with her siblings.

Early Life and Education

Oliver was raised in Westchester County where she was encouraged to create her own worlds through writing. She began drafting her first novel during commutes on her Blackberry.

Additionally, she served as president of her sorority’s scholarship committee; is an academic honor society; as well as being a scalpel reporter with Alpha Epsilon Delta- a pre-professional health honor society.

As an amateur violinist, she enjoys participating in the Silver State Social Piano competition and has received high marks and honors at both 2015 and 2017 music competitions.
