Liam Godwin

Liam is an award-winning Musical Director, multi instrumental musician, composer/lyricist, vocalist and song writer/composer. His musical repertoire encompasses Piano, Organ and Drums as well as being an expert conductor.

Recently, he featured in Yamaha’s 2021 Silent Piano Advert Campaign and made his New York Debut at The Shed in Arinze Kene’s new musical Misty as Co Musical Director providing additional musical arrangements, Keyboard programming and playing Raymond!

Early Life and Education

Liam began his musical journey at St Augustines of Canterbury Church of England Primary School in Whitton when he was just seven. Soon thereafter he quickly rose through the ranks to become Choir Director.

Liam graduated from The BRIT School for performing arts and technology – home to Adele and Amy Winehouse as alumni – where he studied Musical Theatre for four years, achieving two University of Arts London (UAL) Extended Diplomas. Liam is also an adept Musical Director and Arranger/Composer/Songwriter.

Liam made his New York Debut in 2023 in Olivier Award Nominee and West End Star Arinze Kene’s genre-defying play Misty at The Shed as Co Musical Director providing Additional Musical Arrangements and Keyboard Programming while also playing Raymond in the show. Liam went on to serve as Associate Musical Director on Olivier Award Winning Get Up Stand Up! as well.

Professional Career

Liam Godwin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and an elite receiver. In 2022 he was one of only two NFL players averaging more than 89 receiving yards per game.

He began playing classical/choral music as a child, progressing through his local church choir to eventually serve as Head Chorister for an extended period of time.

As a senior at Pickerington North High School, he led his team to win a regional 3 DI title and was honored as Central Ohio PrepStar Player of the Year as well as being named first team All-Ohio selection.

Starting every game and ranking second on his team for total tackles, passing defensed, interceptions, forced fumbles, forced fumbles and interceptions (2014-17), he earned second team All-Big Ten selection.

Achievement and Honors

He possesses a keen appreciation of classical/choral music and has been singing in choirs for more than 12 years. Additionally, he is an expert pianist, organist, drummer and conductor – and known for his smooth tone.

He has been involved with some incredible projects, shows and venues over the last several years – such as Olivier Award Winner Arinze Kene’s Misty at The Shed in New York where he served as Co Musical Director; providing Additional Musical Arrangements, Keyboard Programming and playing Raymond in the show; Londons West End Get Up Stand Up! where he became one of its youngest ever Associate Musical Directors; as well as Stormzy’s Choir for BRIT Awards 2020 as Guest Star as well as Yamahas 2021 Silent Piano Advert Campaign Campaign.

Personal Life

As well as playing piano, organ and drums he also boasts skilled conductor capabilities as well as being an exceptional vocalist with an extended vocal range and smooth tone. Misty has worked at some amazing venues and projects including working at The Shed (New York) – Misty as Co Musical Director/Additional Musical Arrangments/Keyboard Programming as well as appearing in Yamaha’s 2021 Silent Piano Advert Campaign.

Joan informed 9NEWS that Hydrocephalus had caused her son, Zachery, to experience vision loss and hemiplegia (one side of his body that cannot be controlled), yet hasn’t let this condition hold him back from leading an active and productive life.

After years of searching for a more fulfilling work-life balance, Liam decided to take the leap and become an entrepreneur. Today he runs Betterclean Services as a successful maintenance firm.
