Mariam Azim

Mariam Azim is an Egyptian filmmaker, whose work revolves around socio-political and cultural themes. She has won several awards and accolades for her films. She studied at Leighton Park School and Oxford Brookes University.

Prince Haji Abdul Aziz, the second son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and fourth in line to succeed him on Brunei’s throne has died at age 38. He was the heir apparent to the country’s petroleum wealth.

Early Life and Education

She has a deep interest in education, especially for the underserved. Her past experiences in rural China and West/North Philadelphia, as well as her undergraduate pursuits in early childhood education and psychology, have led to her current research on educational equity.

Her dissertation, Silk, Schools, Special Economic Zones, foregrounds the aspirations and trajectories of child apprentices on Kanchipuram’s silk handlooms. She draws on this rich comparative data to develop ‘thick’ accounts of youth and their classroom and community spaces.

She has a strong passion for the arts and has supported numerous causes around youth and people with disabilities. She also designed a line of unisex weekend bags for MCM, and was an avid supporter of Make A Wish Foundation UK. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, painting, and photography.

Professional Career

After a promising amateur career, the Azim brothers joined forces with Shane McGuigan to take them to the next level as professional prize fighters. McGuigan is renowned for his tutelage of the likes of Carl Frampton and Josh Taylor, and is convinced that the Azim twins have the talent to follow in the footsteps of their idol, Amir Khan. He has already guided both Adam and Hassan to European titles, and claims that the pair are’superstars in the making for sure’.

Hassan is ranked 2nd in the French super-lightweight rankings, while Adam is a current EBU European super-lightweight champion. The brothers both hold a professional record of 5 wins and 1 defeat. They currently live and train in France. They are both aiming for a world title shot in the near future.

Achievement and Honors

In addition to a successful career as a dental doctor, Mariam Azim is an active member of the autism community and a supporter of various charitable causes. She has a passion for traveling the world and experiencing different cultures, as well as designing MCM unisex weekend bags that are sold to benefit charity. She also supports her children’s school activities, and has spoken at a musical charity event featuring performers with autism.

In addition, she was the chairman of the Egypt-India Cultural and Artistic Competition, which is held in Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria, and Red Sea Governorates. Personal Life

Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Mariam Azim has an architecture degree from the American University in Cairo. She has also studied at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, Netherlands. She now works as an architect in New York.

She is the second child of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and his first wife, Princess Mariam Aziz. She was fourth in line to the throne of Brunei until her death on 24 October 2020.

She was well-known for her lavish spending spree and her gambling addiction which resulted in huge debts. She reportedly lost up to PS1 million in a day and was forced to sell jewellery to settle her debts, according to her former bodyguard. The debts were later paid off by the sultan. She also travelled extensively, often with members of her entourage.

Net Worth

He is a member of the royal family of Brunei and fourth in line to the country’s throne. His father, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, has ruled the nation for 53 years. He is also an entrepreneur who owns a number of businesses including retail, hotels and restaurants.
