Mynique Smith is one of the latest cast members of the Bravo show The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She is married to former Atlanta Falcons player Chuck Smith. They have three kids together. But Mynique is not the only woman on the RHOA to have a storied marriage. Here’s a brief look at the history of the Smiths and their marriage.

As a defensive end for the Falcons from 1992 to 1999, Chuck Smith was a star. After retiring from the NFL, he joined the radio broadcasting circuit, putting his savvy football skills to good use. His tally of credits includes a handful of awards. In addition to his onscreen career, he also lent a hand off the field as a college football coach. While he may not be as renowned as the women on the show, he is a name that is familiar to countless alumni.

Not only did the Smiths make an appearance on RHOA, but they have played a major role in many of the most memorable episodes of the show. In fact, Chuck Smith was the one who prompted NeNe Leakes to propose her remarriage to Gregg, and he threw her a wedding bash of his own. Plus, it looks like there is a revolving door at the top, with Kim Zolciak recently leaving the show. For a cast that has made the show its own, a revolving door is hardly a welcome sight.

Fortunately, the show’s writers and producers are still working on the scripts and the production schedule, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long for new fangled developments. Hopefully, the new cast members will prove to be just as exciting as the ones we’ve come to know and love.
