San Antonio — A pinky finger tip has become the key piece of evidence leading to the arrest and conviction of Noah McGary for the fatal shooting of Kerrville teenager Hector Chavera on March 5, according to a Bexar County grand jury ruling.

Noah McGary, 19, is charged in the killing of Hector Chavera at Rustico at Fair Oaks apartment complex on March 5, 2021. Witnesses told deputies three men entered and shot Hector multiple times; upon investigating they discovered pinky finger tips from Noah McGary near the doorway corresponding to 19-year-old Noah McGary – all while Hector lay bleeding at the scene.
