Steve Brunson has become a fixture at the World Series of Poker, winning two bracelets during his tenure. Additionally, he has participated in several other televised poker events and been honored for his achievements.
Brunson was raised in Fort Worth, Texas. At age 18 he began playing poker at mafia-connected games on Exchange Avenue and Jacksboro Highway in Fort Worth.
Early Life and Education
Steve Brunson grew up on his family’s West Tennessee row crop and cattle farm. After graduating with a bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics and Business Administration from Mississippi State University, Steve worked as both farm manager and appraiser before founding Baird & Brunson Land Management Group, LLC in 2013.
Brunson first made his TV poker show appearances with Poker After Dark back in 2007. Over multiple seasons of the high-stakes cash game series, he faced off against notable opponents like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth and Tom Dwan.
Brunson is an active community member, serving on the boards of both Kentucky Cancer Research Center Foundation and Covington Business Council as well as participating in soil and water conservation on both local and state levels.

Brunson hails from Moscow, West Tennessee. Raised on a row crop and cattle farm, he currently operates his own cotton brokerage firm as well as being actively involved with Germantown United Methodist Church as well as local politics and community affairs.
Quinta Brunson made her digital comedy debut with Instagram short one-off videos, soon garnering the notice of BuzzFeed Video who offered her full-time producer work.
Since then, she has featured on multiple series including iZombie, Single Parents and Miracle Workers; contributed to YouTube Red’s Broke series as well as Verizon go90 show A Black Lady Sketch Show; provided voice work for Lazor Wulf and Magical Girl Friendship Squad; as well as writing the book She Memes Well.

Brunson has become a well-known face on televised poker shows such as EPT London and High Stakes Poker. He was also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and lectured frequently on trial advocacy issues.
Brunson is one of only four players who has won multiple World Series of Poker Main Event tournaments and two Vegas Shootout championships – two major high-stakes poker tournaments in America.

Personal Life
Brunson was an exceptional athlete both on the track and basketball court, yet due to an injury he didn’t pursue professional careers in either sport. Instead he became one of the greatest poker players of his era.
Brunson won ten World Series of Poker bracelets and wrote one of the first-ever poker strategy books. Aside from poker, he was an active part of his community serving on several boards and providing advice to both local and state governments.
