Kushner attended a private Jewish high school, where he discovered his love of cinema and theater. After earning an undergraduate degree in English literature from Emory University School of Law – then later earning a Juris Doctor (JD).
He has since worked in the areas of business/commercial litigation, intellectual property law and torts. Representing clients in state and federal court disputes as well as arbitrations throughout the U.S.
Kushner has been actively engaged in his community as a board member of both Virginia-Highland Civic Association and Temple (Board of Trustees/Nominating Committee). Professional Career
He has represented and advised local and national clients in resolving disputes related to contracts, business torts and trade secrets, landlord-tenant issues, actions to enforce restrictive covenants and bankruptcy matters.
As well as his civil litigation practice, Mr. Jones also has extensive experience representing hospital entities, physicians and non-physician staff members in professional negligence claims against them. He has successfully defended these cases at both trial and appellate levels of court proceedings.
Martindale-Hubbell recently recognized him with their 2020 AV Rated Attorney designation, an indication of superior legal ability and ethics. Additionally, he is listed among Georgia Bar Association Legal Elite as well as living in Virginia-Highland with his wife and two children.
Achievement and Honors
Kushner was honored with numerous honors, including winning the Pulitzer Prize in Drama for his two-part play Angels in America about the AIDS crisis, earning Oscar Award nominations. Additionally, he served on Bloomfield College Board of Trustees and served as president of Beth El Memorial Foundation of United Jewish Federation of MetroWest.
Kushner takes great pride in his role as architect of normalization agreements between Israel and UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco in Breaking History. Unfortunately, he shows little awareness that his actions were driven by self-promotion and grandiose actions.
Personal Life
Kushner is an enthusiastic self-promoter who thrives on accolades from world leaders and praise from others. A self-described “spiritual guy”, Kushner enjoys being the center of attention as his own biggest promoter; believing himself as an accomplished deal maker who successfully brought peace to the Middle East where more traditional methods had failed.
He started practicing law as a third year law student with DeKalb County Solicitor’s office prosecuting misdemeanor cases before starting to represent both multi-national and domestic companies as well as individuals in commercial disputes via mediation, arbitration, and trial in state and federal courts throughout Georgia and the US. Additionally he has extensive experience with business torts, intellectual property matters and general commercial law disputes.
Rabbi Kushner and Leana, who is a clinical psychologist, have two children together — Arabella and Joseph. Both families are members of Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
