Steve Ridge currently works at Dominion Energy where he oversees their Western Gas Operations as well as sitting on their Board.

After working on Michigan governor George Romney’s campaign and meeting President Dwight D. Eisenhower during the summer of 1966, he eventually interned for him.

Early Life and Education

Stephen was raised in Arnolds Park before attending The University of Iowa for college. During this time he worked on both golf course maintenance and helping maintain Kinnick Stadium’s sports turf surfaces.

After college, he taught and coached at Greenbriar High School in Parma; all four of his children graduated from Normandy High School where he also coaches wrestling.

As Governor of Pennsylvania, he earned praise for fostering economic development, education and health care advancements at the statewide level. He served on the Blue Ribbon Study Panel on Biodefense that developed a 33-step initiative for federal governments to follow; was on the board of Human Coalition that rescues preborn babies; and is a firm believer in arts’ transformative power in engaging hearts and minds.

Professional Career

He can be seen in both movies Bringing Down the House and Cheaper by the Dozen, as well as performing in Waiting for Godot alongside Robin Williams as Estragon.

Steve is an active member of the Benicia Chamber of Commerce. He has assisted numerous families buy and sell their homes successfully. Steve prides himself on working one-on-one with clients to find their ideal residences.

He has been working as a PGA professional for 25 years, beginning at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa and later at various courses across Iowa before currently becoming part of Linville Ridge Golf & Country Club near Sioux Center in Sioux Center. Additionally, he has assisted with construction and grow-in phases for new golf courses.

Achievement and Honors

Ridge has also made significant contributions to his community by participating in several organizations and charities. He serves as board member of Human Coalition and is passionate about saving preborn babies; additionally he volunteers at LifeLine Pregnancy Center in North Carolina.

He has received various accolades for his commitment to Wake County Agribusiness, such as being honored with Wake County Agribusiness’s Excellence in Leadership award and receiving the Order of the Golden Pig from NC Pork Council.

Adam is a member of SALF and works closely with Max and Laura. He features prominently in the eighth movie of the Scooby-Doo franchise as one of its main antagonists – voiced by Mark Hamill. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm presented the Oak Ridge Vision 2020 Project Team with a national award in recognition of their hard work to clear 13 million square feet of contamination at former uranium enrichment site Oak Ridge Vision 2020 Project Team has received.

Personal Life

Steve Ridge was an attentive father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and extended family.

He was also an active community activist, serving on various civic leadership Boards as President for three years of one of the City’s beach condominium associations. From this experience he learned the value of consensus building and working together as part of a cohesive team effort.

After years of silence, Steve made his return in 2019 along with Dana Jester to host landscape oil painting workshops – and was warmly received back into society.

Steve stood by Bob during his final years and provided whatever assistance possible, yet was denied by his other partners any opportunity to assume control of the business – contracts were set in place that prevented Steve from using either his name or likeness in any capacity.

Net Worth

He not only boasts extensive work experience but also owns considerable personal wealth; owning a $6.6 million Vaucluse mansion as well as investment properties in Marrickville and Balmain.

He owns multiple Food City locations; most recently purchasing Galax, Virginia Piggly Wiggly store in 2022. As an avid sports fan he can often be found cheering for Dallas Cowboys games.

Beltraith Capital appointed him as one of its board of directors. A co-founder, he has assisted in acquiring and expanding small to mid-sized institutional investment management firms. Additionally, his expertise lies within emerging manager sector as he has developed and implemented absolute return and macro-economic thematic investment strategies.
