Early Life and Education
The Times-Union reviewed thousands of unredacted documents in which Murray and his sisters allege their father sexually abused them. Police officers assigned to these cases believe there may have been sexual misconduct; however, because Murray’s sisters recanted their claims they could not pursue charges.

Steven Murray is a professional footballer currently playing for the Arizona Cardinals. Previously he appeared in the Football League with York City and Nottingham Forest before signing with Celtic without making an official league appearance.

Murray recently was honored with the “Magna Cum Laude” award from the University of Missouri School of Law, bestowed upon those with the highest peer review rating in their legal field.
His expertise in engineering systems, electrical, and materials has allowed him to provide engineering consulting services across several industries and investigate potential product recalls. His work includes risk evaluation, failure analysis, fracture imaging analysis and modeling mechanical, electrical and magnetic systems and materials.
At an emotional 45-minute proceeding, he waived his rights to trial and appeal in order to receive life imprisonment with possible sentencing to death row.
Steven Murray, who killed Father Robert, had long lived on the fringes of society. His mental health and drug abuse issues frequently returned him to jail. His sister Bobbie stated she pleaded with law enforcement for him to remain locked up.
She created a film about her brother and hopes that it would offer comfort to anyone experiencing abuse or addiction issues. On Saturday night in Augusta, Where There is Darkness will be shown as part of an event benefitting Pastor Altman’s new church home as well as raising funds for its production costs.
