RESOLVE Attorney Steven Resolve
Early Life and Education
Steve Resolv’s early life was greatly shaped by his hard-working mother who strived tirelessly to provide their family with every advantage available to them. Her strong will motivated him to seek an education and forge a successful career in sales, marketing and management. Under her guidance he attended Terros Health Board of Directors and Phoenix Forward Healthcare Leadership Council before chairing Degree Phoenix Advisory Council before currently sitting on City of Phoenix Workforce Development Board and Arizona Town Hall Education Advisory Committees.
Steven’s treaty negotiations highlighted some of the inherent paradoxes and contradictions within federal policy towards Native Americans, especially during its transition from removal to reservation policies. His experiences with Makah, Quileute, and Hoh tribes demonstrated how even well-intentioned policies could be implemented in ways which harmed Native people.
Steve provides employers with high-stakes employment and labor law representation with the goal of quickly and cost-effectively resolving matters without lengthy litigation proceedings. He represents employers facing allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination as well as trade secrets/unfair competition and wage and hour matters.
He advises management on day-to-day employment and labor law issues, including personnel policies, employee discipline procedures, union representation agreements and employment contracts as well as faculty tenure. Additionally, he conducts national and international legal compliance audits for clients.
Mr. LaBelle consults companies on their commercial insurance programs and litigated coverage disputes regarding general, professional liability, wrap up (Owner/Contractor-Controlled Insurance Programs), construction/aviation liability property/workers’ compensation coverage issues. His military operational experience serves him well when mediating highly emotional employment or personal disputes that require mediation services.
Steven is an enthusiastic grassroots organizer with expertise in community, youth, and union organizing. At RESOLVE he works closely with leadership at companies, foundations, and nonprofits to form strategic corporate and NGO partnerships tackling global challenges like climate change, the energy transition, biodiversity conservation and natural resource conflicts.
Dr. Sheihk is also co-founder of RESOLVE Enterprises, an incubator dedicated to mission-align start-ups. Additionally, he serves on several foundation and non-profit boards as an advisor.
Traffic was formed in 1967 by him along with Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood after leaving Spencer Davis Group. They quickly become known for their eclectic musical style and distinct songs and released several groundbreaking albums such as Mr. Fantasy, Low Spark of High Heeled Boys and John Barleycorn Must Die.
Steven’s Master of Laws in Taxation degree and extensive experience enable him to provide high-net-worth individuals and families with accurate estate and trust planning services, helping them avoid probate, reduce taxes and plan for incapacity and death as well as business and property succession, asset protection and wealth preservation.
He works closely with nonprofits and foundations to address environmental and social issues. He does this through corporate-NGO partnerships, community-based solutions development, mobilizing local communities against global issues and mobilization campaigns.
