Thomas Boismier, 63, Was Killed in a Shooting on January 28, 2023
Fort Wayne Police have identified Thomas Boismier as the victim in a shooting on January 28. Police report that Taylor Bushroe died at the scene while Boismier passed away later at an area hospital.
An assistant attorney general for state school officials ruled that Norman High School teacher Summer Boismier did not violate any laws when she placed QR codes leading to Brooklyn Public Library’s Books Unbanned catalog on her classroom bookshelf.
Early Life and Education
On January 28th 2023, Fort Wayne police responded to a shooting on Dartford Court and found Taylor Bushroe dead at the scene. A second individual who had sustained gunshot injuries was taken to hospital for treatment, however they later succumbed. Allen County Coroner identified this individual as Thomas Boismier aged 63 who committed suicide.
His legacy lives on with his wife Connie; three children (Anthony of Oklahoma City and Shannon of New Baltimore); two grandchildren – Anthony Joseph Petix and Lindsay Petix; as well as one sister Frances Margherio from Columbia City, Indiana.
Personal Life
Boismier was an esteemed husband, father, son and brother. A proud member of Quail Creek Country Club in Oklahoma City where he enjoyed golf with family and friends alike, Boismier also proudly served his nation honorably in the US Navy. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters – Linda Howard (and Chris), from St Louis; Paula John (and Tim), Columbus Ohio; two stepsons Spence Ruble and Jamie of Woodward; Shelby Smith with Burris in Tulsa – along with eight grandchildren. On January 28th 2023, Fort Wayne Police responded to 9018 Dartford Court in Fort Wayne after reports of shooting. Taylor Bushroe was found dead at the scene, while Thomas Boismier was transported to an area hospital but ultimately succumbed to his wounds and passed away there later. The Allen County coroner determined this event as a murder-suicide.
